the fight

Marius

the fight
-by mvb

i had a fight with the sun
he took his rays and left
the sun had a fight with me
i took my sun-comforted hair and I set

i had a fight with the moon
she took the tides from my soul and it eclipsed
the moon had a fight with me
i took the love i made under the clear moon and hid it

i had a fight with the stars
they took their nocturnal guidance and they dimmed out
the stars had a fight with me
i took the wishes i made under their watch and denied them

i had a fight with the sea
she took her refreshing waves and dried up
the sea had a fight with me
i took the dreams i had on its shore and i drowned in them

i had a fight with you
and you didn't leave
...neither did I

Sweet! I love how you used the heavenly rulers to depict the situation you concluded with....in such a delightful little tercet. Beautifully done. I enjoyed it.
