broken promises

mikeal

a sweet promise

of of a million years

was broken by your tears

and the screaming sound

of apology to my ears

you left me hanging

begging to you on my knees

i pleaded with you

i even cried and said please

but my love for u

it was always true

something i couldnt undo

it was a damn bolt

i could not unscrew

this was one dream

i thought id never pursue

but i ended up doing it too

now i was lost and all alone

it was like de javu

no more lies

no broken promises from you

i guess you have nothing more to spew

but this is my promise

i will always love you

Wow, it is so almost powerful, maybe because I can identify with it.....I can feel it. You did an excellent job. And it is VERY sad. But Mikeal, why was it broken by THEIR tears? It sounds as if YOU are the one who was lied to and deceived and so woefully mistreated....she/he cried when lying and leaving?
