Anniversary Poems

Anniversary poem

There was a worry that I had,
When we were young and love was new
When I had told you everything there was to tell,
What would we do?

What would we find to talk about
With our lives so interwined
That each of us already knew
The workings of the other's mind?

Well, fifty (OR enter number) years have come and gone,
And I can giggle at my fears.
For I have never shut my mouth
And you have never closed your ears.

So here we stand so proud and happy
And think back to the past
A secret grin begins for those,
Who said "It will never last!"
